Slag is the general name for stone powder and its substitutes that meet the engineering requirements. The main chemical components are CaO, SiO2, l2O3, Fe2O3, etc. It is often used instead of cement to mix concrete, which can reduce the amount of cement and improve the workability of concrete, reducing the heat of hydration, improving the late strength and the internal structure of the concrete, and improving the anti-seepage and anti-corrosion capabilities and other purposes.
Raw materials for processing ore may be limestone, quicklime and other stones, or industrial wastes such as slag, water slag, steel slag, etc. It can be blended into concrete by grinding to a certain degree of fineness (generally 325 mesh). Generally, it can reach 30%-70% of the cement dosage, which not only can effectively reduce the production cost, but also realize the recycling and reuse of waste residue.
In the grinding process of ore, the commonly used equipments are vertical mill, European type grinding mill(raymond mill upgrades) and other models. According to different materials and different production needs, the selected equipment must also be targeted.
For the annual output of 50,000 tons of mineral powder production line, the output is counted as medium and small scale. The European type grinding mill and vertical mill are good choices. If the raw material is slag, steel slag and other difficult to grind materials, the vertical mill will be more suitable, and it has larger output, more suitable for large-scale ore processing projects.
