Petroleum coke is a product that crude oil by distillation, after the separation,heavy oil by thermal cracking process that turned into, that is the end of the oil refining process, most of the "waste", from the appearance point of view, its shape is irregular, large and small black lump (or particles). Petroleum coke can be making powder after grinding to used as an alternative fuel to oil and continue to be applied. 

 

At present, a lot of high energy consumption enterprises such as glass,ceramics industry use heavy oil or coal tar as a fuel. Fuel costs account for 35%-50% of production costs, high cost of production is heavy burden of the enterprises. Based on current market prices shows that petroleum coke powder is 2300 yuan/ton, heavy oil is 4800 yuan/ton, a ton of heavy oil equivalent to 1.2 tons of heat generated by petroleum coke powder, in the case of heat is generated about the same, the use of heavy oil as fuel cost is much higher than petroleum coke powder. Now there are more and more companies choosing petroleum coke to use as an alternative fuel, as a direct producers of raw materials, the development prospects of petroleum coke milling industry is very bright and clear.
