Firstly, the national construction sand standards specifies the highway-used sand's fineness modulus, particle size distribution, apparent density, bulk density and moisture content, clay content and other indicators. Wherein, the particle size which is greater than 4.75mm called coarse aggregate. The ordinary concrete has two kinds of aggregate: gravel and boulder.
